Music Authorship

Each sonnet in the book "Vi, Ouvi, Senti" of Vitor M. C. Rodrigues, is more than two quatrains and two tercets, it is in Italian a "sonetto" or "piccolo suono", a little melody in the universe, a brief hymn to love or life.

Over the years, excerpts taken from this book of poetry, with the permission of the author, have been used in the composition of songs by various singers.

An example of the use of the sonnets of this book in music is the authorship of the four songs of the maxi-single vinyl record "Dicionário da Vida" of the fado singer João Carriço, recorded at the Bela Vista Studios of the singer and composer Paco Bandeira in 1989:

- Songs from side A of the record: "Dicionário da Vida" and "São José da Romaria"

- Songs from side B of the record: "A Vida é Cantiga" and "Hermínia"

For these songs, he received 28,000 Escudos (140 Euros) from the Portuguese Society of Authors.
